Since its opening in 2001, the VELTINS-Arena ranks prominently among the most modern and popular stadiums in Germany and Europe.
Cashless payment with the Schalke Knappenkarte and the free use of the Wifi-network make visiting the arena really enjoyable. The VELTINS-Arena is a well-equipped venue, especially in the service area, and has been offering high-standard service for more than 15 years.
There are 14,000 parking spaces and also shuttle buses available for visitors arriving by car. In order to make the stadium experience comfortable for everyone, there are also parking spaces for Schalke supporters with limited mobility with step-free access to the arena. Even during the construction of the new Schalke Stadium, importance was attached to providing the arena with the greatest possible accessibility.
Should any questions arise at matches, concerts or other major events, visitors can rely on the competent members of the Royal Blue Volunteer team. The volunteers provide advice and assistance throughout the entire stadium area during the game or event day and support the visitors on a voluntary basis.
